Our client is a well established Australian business operating within an essential services industry. Backed by a larger global group, the business is continuing to grow through acquisition and is investing in its finance capability to support the next stage of its evolution.
This newly created Accounting & Finance Manager role offers a rare opportunity to combine hands on financial management with people leadership. You'll oversee the finance function while leading the local accounts team, with the scope of the role continuing to evolve as the business grows and a new ERP system is implemented.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, with a dotted line into the Group Head of Finance, you'll split your time between managing the end to end finance function for an assigned business entity and leading the Accounts team across the broader operation.
Approximately half of your role will focus on preparing monthly financial reporting, managing cash flow, reconciliations and month end, while the remainder will be spent leading the Accounts team, improving processes, managing workloads and strengthening controls.
