They are currently seeking an Accounts Lead to take ownership of financial administration across multiple entities, with a strong focus on accounts payable (which makes up approximately 90% of the role).

This position is integral to ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations and works closely with project and development managers, suppliers, contractors, and external consultants. It's well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, highly organised, and thrives in a hands-on environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage accounts payable including invoice entry, approvals, payment scheduling, supplier reconciliations, and credit card processing
  • Oversee accounts receivable including monthly invoicing of project fees, receipting payments, and reconciling between corporate and project accounts
  • Respond to internal and external queries via the shared accounts inbox and business landline
  • Conduct monthly debtor and bank reconciliations
  • Support accurate and timely financial reporting under the guidance of the Financial Reporting Manager
  • Liaise with stakeholders across finance, development, and external providers to maintain seamless financial operations
  • Uphold high standards of organisation, integrity, and customer service in all aspects of the role
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, or related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar accounts payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities calmly and professionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a preference for experience using Microsoft Business Central or similar accounting software
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, methodical, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
