ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has become available for a Bookkeeper to join the Melbourne team in a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day finance function of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this position will suit someone who enjoys operating across the full finance function, can work autonomously and is comfortable balancing both transactional processing and broader finance responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • End-to-end Accounts Payable processing including supplier management, payments and reporting
  • Accounts Receivable management including invoicing, payment follow-up and receipt allocation
  • Payroll processing across Australia, with coordination support for UK and US payroll activities
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT and statutory reporting
  • Bank reconciliations across Australian and overseas accounts
  • General ledger maintenance including journals and reconciliations
  • Assist with cash flow management and finance reporting
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and finance records
  • Support ad hoc reporting and finance administration requirements
  • Data entry and contract record maintenance
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience in a similar end-to-end bookkeeping role
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll processes
  • Experience preparing BAS, IAS and payroll tax obligations
  • Confident managing high transactional volumes while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • MYOB experience highly regarded
  • Strong Excel capability and general systems confidence
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function
  • Calm and organised approach within a busy environment
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative working style
