ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a territory-based Business Development opportunity focused on driving revenue growth through key distributor groups and independent networks.
You’ll take ownership of your region, building proactive relationships at buyer and product manager level while supporting store networks through regular in-field engagement. With a strong emphasis on planning, CRM utilisation and structured call cycles, you’ll position the brand for continued market share growth.
Regular metro and regional travel forms part of the role, along with attendance at industry events and customer training sessions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive revenue growth across major customer groups and distribution partners
- Develop and execute structured call cycles aligned to KPI’s and sales targets
- Build strong relationships with buyers, product managers and store networks
- Deliver product training and education to trade stakeholders
- Identify and activate new go-to-market opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM activity and sales pipeline management
- Provide voice-of-customer insights to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to execute growth strategies
- Represent the brand at industry events and promotional activities
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY & COMMERCIAL ACUMEN
- Drive the full business proposition across the automotive aftermarket channel
- Strengthen distributor and independent store relationships to grow market share
- Conduct multiple customer visits per week across spare parts stores and specialist workshops
- Confidently manage pricing discussions and identify margin opportunities
- Analyse sales data using CRM and Excel to uncover trends and growth gaps
- Translate insights into clear, data-backed recommendations
- Gather competitor and market intelligence to inform strategy
- Represent the brand at trade events and industry functions
- Bridge operational gaps across sales, supply chain and marketing
- Combine technical credibility with strong commercial focus
- Proven experience in a Business Development or Territory Sales role
- Automotive aftermarket or OEM industry exposure
- Trade qualification (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated ability to self-generate leads and engage business owners
- Strong relationship-building and influencing capability
- Commercially minded with a focus on revenue and market share growth
- Confident delivering training and presenting to stakeholder groups
- Comfortable with regular travel and autonomous territory management
