ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition and building long-term client relationships. This is a pure new business role, focused on securing opportunities with organisations operating loading docks and supply chain operations.
You will manage the entire sales cycle, develop scalable processes, and play a key role in laying the foundation for a future sales team. This role suits a highly driven, consultative sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across multiple industries.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to executive-level presentations.
- Develop and refine CRM processes (Salesforce) to optimise pipeline management and reporting.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets with quarterly commission incentives.
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to inform go-to-market strategies.
- Build the foundation for future sales team growth, with the opportunity to mentor and lead.
- Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or industrial technology.
- Strong understanding of operational environments such as warehouses, docks, or transport hubs.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and close complex, multi-stage sales cycles.
- Advanced CRM and pipeline management skills, with Salesforce experience preferred.
