ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the performance, growth and strategic direction of a key Food & Nutrition business unit across Australia and New Zealand.

You will take full ownership of the commercial function - from supplier partnerships and product strategy through to sales performance, market expansion and team leadership. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment and enjoys influencing outcomes at both a strategic and operational level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and grow the Food & Nutrition business unit across ANZ
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue and margin growth
  • Manage key supplier relationships and identify new partnership opportunities
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform strategy
  • Drive new product development and market expansion initiatives
  • Oversee sales forecasting, inventory planning and stock management
  • Build, mentor and lead a high-performing commercial team
  • Strengthen and expand the existing customer base while identifying new opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial, business unit or category leadership role
  • Strong track record in sales growth, business development and profit optimisation
  • Experience within Food, Nutrition, Ingredients or a related sector is highly regarded
  • Highly developed commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience building and managing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across suppliers, customers and internal teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends
  • Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems (JD Edwards is advantageous)
