ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a well established and growing food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Part Time Chief Financial Officer to join their leadership team in a hands on capacity, working three days per week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a pivotal opportunity for a commercially astute, detail driven CFO who enjoys being embedded in the day to day operations of a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for leading all financial functions, ensuring rigorous cash flow forecasting, production accounting, and delivering strategic insights to drive performance. A background in manufacturing will be highly regarded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage end to end cash flow including daily tracking of inflows and outflows and preparation of 12 month forecasts
  • Lead financial reporting, budgeting using zero based methods, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Maintain and improve the SAP Business One system including production accounting functions
  • Build and activate accurate Bills of Materials and lead price and usage variance analysis
  • Support strategies to manage operational wastage, giveaways and accidental losses
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and process improvements that add value
  • Provide strategic and operational financial advice to the Directors and Management Team
  • Ensure compliance with tax legislation, financial standards and risk management frameworks
  • Mentor, train and delegate effectively within a small finance team
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • CA or CPA qualified with substantial experience as a senior finance leader or CFO
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing with a strong grasp of production cost drivers
  • Expertise in SAP Business One and advanced Excel skills including financial modelling
  • Familiarity with HR3 payroll system is advantageous
  • Experience in ERP implementation or optimisation
  • Deep knowledge of production costing, Bills of Materials and variance reporting
  • Exceptional skills in cash flow management and financial control
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • A hands on approach, high integrity and the ability to work closely with owners and senior leaders
