Role Summary

The Chief Financial Officer is a senior executive leadership role responsible for leading the financial, commercial and governance functions of the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the broader leadership team, the role will provide strategic financial oversight while also supporting operational performance and business decision making.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a commercially minded finance leader who can balance strategy with execution. The position extends beyond traditional finance responsibilities and will play a key role in strengthening reporting, improving commercial discipline and supporting scalable business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Provide commercial insights and support strategic decision making across the business
• Oversee financial controls, governance, compliance and risk management frameworks
• Partner closely with operational leaders to improve business performance and profitability
• Drive improvements across systems, reporting capability and financial processes
• Support working capital management, forecasting and operational planning
• Contribute to Board and leadership reporting requirements
• Lead and develop finance capability across the organisation

Skills and Experience

• CA or CPA qualified with proven experience in senior finance leadership roles
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational outcomes
• Experience within construction, property or project-based environments highly regarded
• Strong understanding of cash flow management and commercial reporting
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate across both strategy and execution
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience improving systems, reporting and business processes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
