Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, commercial guidance and governance oversight across the organisation.
This is a broad leadership role encompassing finance, business performance, systems transformation and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will lead a sizeable finance function while also playing a significant role in organisational planning, decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with the CEO, Board and executive team, you will help shape organisational strategy, strengthen financial capability and ensure the business is well positioned to meet its long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the organisation's finance function, ensuring strong financial management, governance and compliance
• Provide strategic advice and commercial insights to the CEO, Board and executive leadership team
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and long-term planning activities
• Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes and reporting frameworks
• Lead organisational initiatives relating to business transformation and operational effectiveness
• Build and develop high-performing teams across finance and related corporate services functions
• Maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders and industry participants
• Support strategic decision making through insightful analysis and performance reporting
Skills and Experience
• CA or CPA qualified with extensive senior finance leadership experience
• Demonstrated success operating within complex, stakeholder-driven environments
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
• Experience leading large teams and developing organisational capability
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with Boards, executives and external stakeholders
• Experience leading systems, process improvement or transformation initiatives
• Strong governance, risk management and financial control expertise
• Collaborative, pragmatic and relationship-focused leadership style
