Our client is an established Melbourne-based construction business delivering a diverse range of commercial and industrial building projects. Their projects are delivered across a range of construction models, with a focus on quality, timing and budget outcomes for their clients. With a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to add an experienced Contracts Administrator to their project team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Project Manager, the Contracts Administrator will support the commercial and administrative delivery of projects from procurement through to completion. The role will manage subcontractor tendering and contracts, progress claims, variations, cost reporting, forecasting and project documentation. You’ll also work closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors to keep projects on track across cost, quality and delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage subcontractor procurement, including tender packages, scope reviews, negotiations and contract awards.
- Assess and process subcontractor progress claims, supplier invoices and payment schedules.
- Prepare and manage progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, forecasts and monthly cost reporting.
- Manage RFIs, project registers, contracts and key project documentation.
- Work closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors through to final accounts and project completion.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Contracts Administrator role within commercial or industrial construction.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently and competing project deadlines.
- Experience working on commercial construction projects valued at $15m+.
- Strong commercial understanding across subcontractor procurement, contracts, progress claims, variations, forecasting and cost reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Aconex, CHEOPS and ProcurePro.
- Strong planning, organisation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
