The business operates across multiple core systems and is investing heavily in its data capability to move from fragmented reporting to a centralised, scalable analytics platform. As part of this journey is building a central Azure based data lake to support enterprise-wide reporting and core data insight.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior, hands-on Data Analyst role, working closely with a highly experienced Senior Data professional.
The focus of the role is on data integration, ingestion and transformation, sitting between source systems and the Power BI reporting layer. This role is critical in designing and building the ETL pipelines and data flows that enable reliable, trusted reporting and overall strong architecture.
The environment has limited documentation, so this role suits someone who is comfortable working hands-on, navigating ambiguity, and building strong data foundations from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines from multiple operational systems into a central data lake.
- Design and manage data integration and ingestion processes, including API-based integrations.
- Develop clean, reliable and scalable datasets to support Power BI reporting.
- Work closely with a Senior Data architect to align data flow, modelling and best-practice design.
- Support and improve reporting from ERP and field service platforms (e.g. Jobpac / construction ERP systems).
- Operate effectively in a low-documentation environment, taking ownership of data discovery and structure.
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst or similar role within complex, operational environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration and Advanced SQL skills.
- Solid experience with Power BI, including data modelling and semantic layer design.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of data flow, data best practice and analytics enablement.
- Ability to work closely with senior technical stakeholders and operate autonomously.
