About the role
Our client is seeking a Design Consultant to bridge the gap between sales, design and manufacturing, working closely with architects and clients to develop customised acoustic solutions. The role also contributes to new product development, combining technical design, product innovation and project delivery in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, designers and clients to develop customised acoustic solutions.
- Prepare design concepts, technical drawings, quotes and manufacturing files.
- Support the sales team with product specification and project delivery.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure accurate production and installation outcomes.
- Contribute to the design and development of new products and innovations.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality, accuracy and client service.
Skills and competencies
- Industrial Design qualification or relevant product design experience.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CAD file creation (DWG/DXF).
- Experience designing products for manufacture within a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across sales, design and production.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
