ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for problem analysis, solution definition, and continuous improvement across business initiatives, with a focus on retail, procurement, inventory planning, and digital transformation projects.

The position works closely with Retail Operations and Technology teams to identify gaps, map processes, define business requirements, and design solutions that improve decision-making, reduce costs, and optimize operations.
 
In summary, the role focuses on analysis, solution design, process improvement, system integration, data and AI enablement, and delivering measurable outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Discovery, Analysis, and Problem Solving
  • Conduct structured analysis including current and future state mapping, root-cause analysis, and benefits estimation.
  • Clearly define business problems, including scope, success metrics, and assumptions.
  • Produce key artefacts such as:
    • Business requirements
    • Functional specifications
    • Process maps (AS-IS and TO-BE)
    • Data definitions and business rules
    • User stories and acceptance criteria
2) Solution Design and Option Assessment
  • Develop and evaluate solution designs aligned with the organization’s technology landscape.
  • Define system changes, integrations, and data flows.
  • Address non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Consider operational support models, including monitoring and ownership.
3) Procurement & Inventory Planning Enablement
  • Collaborate with retail stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities in procurement and inventory planning.
  • Apply innovative methods and AI-driven approaches to optimize inventory and forecasting based on demand and geography.
  • Support and improve procurement workflows.
4) AI Adoption
  • Identify and validate AI use cases, including inventory optimization, allocation, forecasting, and workflow automation.
  • Work with data teams to define and implement data-driven solutions.
5) Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
  • Facilitate workshops, process design sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and simplify complex concepts.
  • Support change management through documentation and training.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure alignment with systems and security policies.
6) Quality Testing and Benefits Realisation Support
  • Define test scenarios and support UAT activities and deployment readiness.
  • Ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and deliver measurable business outcomes.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Analyst, or Functional Analyst in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Background in retail, automotive, or multi-site operations
  • Strong ability to produce requirements, process maps, business rules, and solution assessments
  • Understanding of procurement and inventory concepts
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to AI use cases in forecasting, optimization, or automation (preferred)
