About the role
The Documentor is responsible for producing accurate and coordinated architectural documentation to support the delivery of projects from design through to construction. The role works closely with architects, project leaders, consultants and contractors to ensure drawings, specifications and technical details are aligned and issued in line with project timelines. This position also plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, coordinating information across stakeholders and ensuring documentation is clear, compliant and buildable.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare and manage detailed architectural documentation across design development and construction phases.
• Coordinate drawings and technical information with architects, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, compliant with NCC/BCA and Australian Standards, and issued on time.
• Maintain internal quality assurance processes before documentation is released.
• Communicate project progress and documentation updates with senior architects and project leaders.
• Support junior documentors and graduates while contributing to project coordination and delivery.
Skills and competencies
• Strong proficiency in Revit or CAD for architectural documentation.
• Solid understanding of construction documentation and technical detailing.
• Knowledge of NCC (BCA) and relevant Australian building standards.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with architects, consultants and builders.
• Strong organisation and time management to meet documentation deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and attention to detail.
