ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the CTO, the Engineering Manager will lead a team of software engineers in delivering scalable, cloud-native products in a regulated environment. This is a leadership role that require strong management and leadership experience. It's non hand on role, however you will have previous technical background before your management experience.
You’ll be responsible for technical direction, delivery oversight, team development and cross-functional alignment with product, clinical, and infrastructure stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers;
- Own the technical delivery of cloud-based applications;
- Collaborate with product and clinical teams to build fit-for-purpose software;
- Uphold engineering standards, code quality, compliance and traceability;
- Drive DevOps best practices (CI/CD, test automation, release pipelines);
- Manage project risk, team performance, and stakeholder communication;
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability;
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ in people leadership;
- Strong people management experience to lead and inspire the engineering team;
- Strong previous technical background in .NET Core, Angular 18+, C#, AWS, REST APIs;
- Experience building cloud-native, distributed SaaS applications;
- Track record of delivering complex projects in regulated or mission-critical environments;
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile delivery practices;
- Calm, pragmatic leadership style with a passion for coaching and team growth.
