ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Director Finance will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and serve as a trusted advisor to both the CEO and Board.
This is a newly elevated executive role created to strengthen the organisation's financial capability and support its next phase of growth. The successful candidate will lead the continued development of the finance function while providing commercial insights, strategic guidance and robust financial leadership across the organisation.
Working closely with the CEO, Board and Executive Leadership Team, you will help guide investment decisions, support growth initiatives, improve financial planning capability and ensure the organisation is well positioned to achieve its long-term strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the CEO and Board to support strategic planning and organisational growth
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and long-term planning activities
- Build and enhance financial planning, analysis and decision-support capability
- Provide commercial insights and financial modelling to support investment decisions
- Strengthen reporting frameworks, governance and performance management processes
- Lead and develop the finance function to support future organisational growth
- Support new product, service and growth initiatives through robust commercial analysis
- Drive financial discipline while maintaining alignment with organisational purpose
- CA or CPA qualified with demonstrated executive-level finance leadership experience
- Proven experience building or maturing finance functions within growing organisations
- Strong Board engagement, governance and stakeholder management capability
- Experience supporting organisational growth, transformation or scaling initiatives
- Commercially minded with strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
- High levels of emotional intelligence and leadership capability
- Experience within healthcare, education, membership, technology, professional services or purpose-led organisations will be highly regarded
