ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE
Our client is a growing privately owned company with a strong presence in its industry. They are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function, drive process improvements, and provide commercial insights to support future growth. This hands-on role will manage the finance team, partner with leadership, and play a key role in modernising systems and strengthening reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee all finance and accounting functions across multiple entities
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Build and maintain finance dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership and the board
- Drive improvements to month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage payroll, superannuation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Liaise with external accountants on taxation, audits, and compliance requirements
- Oversee cash management, asset acquisition, and insurance requirements
- Support inventory costing, margin analysis, and P&L alignment
- Lead the transition from legacy systems to a modern ERP environment
- Provide direction, mentoring, and support to the finance team
- CA or CPA qualified with proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role
- Strong technical accounting skills with experience across month-end, compliance, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated success in leading small finance teams and managing competing priorities
- Commercially minded with experience in costing, inventory, margin reporting, and process improvement
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a family-owned business environment
- Strong systems capability, with experience in ERP transitions desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage directly with owners, managers, and external advisors
