ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE 
Our client is a well-established hospitality and entertainment group managing a portfolio of venues across Victoria. They are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their close-knit finance team supporting end-to-end financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
 RESPONSIBILITIES 
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports and reconciliations across multiple entities
- Manage general ledger functions, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
- Oversee the integrity of the asset register and assist in preparing statutory reporting and BAS
- Drive month-end close and improve reporting accuracy
- Support cashflow management and forecasting, ensuring alignment across multiple bank accounts and multiple clearing accounts
- Conduct variance analysis and P&L reviews, ensuring key insights are communicated clearly to management
- Assist with the transition and implementation of the new ERP system
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and venue managers as required
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CPA/CA qualification highly regarded but not essential
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a financial or management accounting role
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger processes
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (MYOB, Acumatica, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Proven capability in process improvement and financial reporting accuracy
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach
- Hospitality or multi-entity experience highly regarded
