About the Company & Role

Ready to make your first move from audit into industry?

This is an outstanding opportunity for an Audit Manager who's ready to take that next step. Rather than moving into a narrow reporting role, you'll join a growing international business where you'll lead the financial reporting function, manage a small team, partner with senior leadership and gain broad commercial exposure across a global operation.

Our client is a well-established Australian business with an expanding international footprint, operating across multiple global markets. Driven by innovation and technology, they've built a strong reputation within their industry and continue to experience sustained growth.

With a collaborative leadership team and a genuine focus on continuous improvement, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, influence key decisions and build your career well beyond financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process across the group
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Oversee group consolidations, intercompany accounting and balance sheet integrity
  • Manage the annual external audit process and coordinate overseas audit requirements
  • Ensure direct and indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting
  • Prepare lender covenant reporting and support board reporting requirements
  • Review technical accounting matters including acquisitions, leases and other complex transactions
  • Drive improvements across finance systems, controls and reporting processes
  • Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team, including offshore staff
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision making
About You

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, enjoys leading people and is ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll ideally bring:
  • CA qualification
  • Experience as an Audit Manager or experienced Audit Assistant Manager within a Big 4 or reputable mid-tier accounting firm
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and statutory reporting
  • Experience managing external audits and complex reporting requirements
  • The confidence to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes and driving positive change
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited by the opportunity to build a long-term career in industry.
