ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE

Our client is a leading organisation operating within the agricultural supply chain industry based in Geelong. They are currently seeking a senior finance and administration professional to take on the role of General Manager – Finance & Administration.

This position plays a vital role in the leadership team, overseeing financial strategy, operational reporting, compliance, and corporate services to support their national operations. This is a hands-on and strategic leadership role with scope to influence business direction and support sustainable growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all financial strategy, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance functions
  • Manage working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditure processes
  • Oversee supplier payment systems, pricing models, and banking activity
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports and variance analysis
  • Lead administrative operations including HR, legal, IT, procurement, and contract management
  • Oversee governance, risk, compliance, and corporate reporting for executive and board stakeholders
  • Maintain internal control frameworks, ensure ATO and statutory compliance, and manage external audits
  • Drive process improvements and digital tools to enhance business efficiency
  • Support development of data dashboards, reporting tools, and integration of business systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams, farmers, and logistics partners to validate operational data
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO and board, and contribute to supply chain planning
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Proven senior leadership experience across finance, administration, and corporate services
  • Qualifications in accounting, business, or a related field (CPA/CA preferred)
  • Strong experience using MYOB and advanced understanding of financial and statutory reporting
  • Knowledge of BAS, payroll, RCTIs, and ATO compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with agribusiness, supply chain, or food production environments is advantageous
  • Skilled in driving business improvement through technology, systems, and data analysis
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly across farmer and industry networks
