ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director, the General Manager will lead end-to-end business operations across supply chain, operations, sales, finance, people and systems.
You will translate vision into execution, building the processes, structure and operating rhythm required to scale efficiently while maintaining an agile, entrepreneurial culture. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a proven scale-up operator who thrives on building, improving and leading from the front.
Ideal for leaders with experience in product-based, wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or operationally intensive environments, this role offers the opportunity to drive measurable commercial impact and long-term growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute the company’s growth strategy, aligning operations, systems and capability to scale
- Oversee day-to-day operations including procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics and fulfilment
- Strengthen supply chain performance, supplier relationships and cost efficiencies
- Build scalable, repeatable processes and introduce systems, automation and lean practices
- Drive commercial outcomes across wholesale, direct and online channels, improving revenue and margin
- Establish KPI frameworks, reporting cadence and data-driven decision making
- Develop organisational structure, hire key talent and coach a high-performing leadership team
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, working capital management and overall business performance
- Proven experience scaling a founder-led, product-based, distribution or manufacturing business
- Strong operational leadership across supply chain, logistics, sales and commercial functions
- Track record of implementing systems, processes and structures that enable sustainable growth
- Commercially savvy with strong financial acumen and margin optimisation experience
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute pragmatically and at pace
- Data-driven, process-oriented and highly organised
- Authentic people leader who builds accountability, ownership and culture
- Experience with ERP/CRM or workflow system implementation highly regarded
- Exposure to education, B2B or government sectors advantageous but not essential
