ABOUT THE ROLE

The GRC Audit Manager is a key leadership role responsible for designing and implementing governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. Reporting to the CEO, the position oversees internal audit programs, compliance systems, and risk management strategies that align with the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Quality Standards, and all relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and implementing governance frameworks and providing advice to Board and Executive teams.
  • Leading compliance management, audits, and preparation for regulatory reviews.
  • Designing and delivering internal audit programs across governance, workforce, safety, and consumer rights.
  • Maintaining risk registers, business continuity plans, and overseeing policy development.
  • Supporting workforce compliance, complaints and incident governance, and continuous quality improvement.
ABOUT YOU
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Governance, Health Management, Risk, Compliance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or risk management within aged care, health, or community services.
  • In-depth understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024, Quality Standards, and provider obligations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading audits and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in Governance, Internal Audit, or Risk (e.g. CIA, CISA).
  • Experience working with in-home aged care providers.
