As the sector continues to grow and evolve, the business is seeking a Head of Finance to lead and strengthen its financial function for a 12 month contract.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a full time permanent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to step into a leadership role with significant influence. As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of all financial operations, governance, and reporting, while also supporting the organisation’s long term growth and strategic objectives.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will ensure financial compliance, develop robust processes, and provide commercial insights that support decision making. The role is suited to someone who enjoys leading teams, driving improvement, and balancing technical rigour with a collaborative, hands on approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the finance function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month end close
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to the board and senior leadership team
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support business planning
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations relevant to the aged care sector
- Strengthen systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and scalability
- Partner with operational leaders to provide insights that influence decision making
- Manage external relationships with auditors, accountants, and advisors
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team
- CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Head of Finance role
- Background in services, health, or other regulated industries will be highly regarded
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and modelling
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial processes, with ability to streamline and improve
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the organisation
