Role Summary

The Head of Finance and Operations is a critical executive leadership role responsible for leading the organisation’s finance, operational and governance functions. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with senior leadership, the role provides strategic oversight across financial performance, operational efficiency, systems transformation and commercial decision making.

This is a broad leadership role suited to a commercially astute executive who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution. The position will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s transition to a more scalable and mature operating structure, while driving accountability, performance and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• Provide executive-level commercial insights, modelling and strategic decision support
• Oversee operational functions including supply chain, logistics and customer support
• Drive operational efficiency, process improvement and scalability initiatives
• Lead ERP optimisation and business transformation projects across finance and operations
• Maintain strong governance, compliance and risk management frameworks
• Partner closely with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders on growth initiatives
• Lead and develop high-performing teams across finance and operations

Skills and Experience

• Significant senior leadership experience across finance, operations and commercial functions
• Background within wholesale, distribution, FMCG or similarly complex operational environments
• Strong commercial acumen with experience driving business performance and operational improvement
• Proven capability leading transformation, systems and process improvement initiatives
• Experience managing multi-entity structures and executive-level reporting requirements
• CA or CPA qualified, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
• Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and influencing capability
• Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to operate strategically and operationally
