ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CFO and leading an established people team, the Head of Human Resources will own and execute the people strategy across the business. This is a broad leadership role suited to a hands-on HR executive who enjoys balancing strategic influence with operational delivery.
You will lead workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development, leadership capability and people operations while ensuring compliance, process excellence and a high-performing employee experience. You will be responsible for building trusted relationships across the executive team and enabling leaders to drive engagement, performance and growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the organisation’s HR and people strategy aligned to business objectives
- Partner with senior leaders across workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives
- Lead end-to-end employee relations, industrial relations and complex people matters
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning and retention strategies
- Drive leadership capability, performance frameworks and employee engagement initiatives
- Lead remuneration and benefits programs aligned to market and business outcomes
- Ensure compliance across Fair Work, employment legislation, policies and governance frameworks
- Deliver continuous improvement across HR systems, reporting and people processes
- Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership or Head of Human Resources position
- Strong generalist HR capability across strategy, operations and employee relations
- Demonstrated experience operating in fast-paced, multi-site or complex environments
- Deep understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
- Proven ability to influence and coach leaders at executive level
- Experience leading organisational change and transformation initiatives
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to translate people strategy into business outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline; professional accreditation advantageous
