Our client is an established and growing organisation that partners with providers across the aged care and community health sectors. They specialise in strengthening operations, workforce capability and compliance frameworks to help care organisations deliver quality, person-centred services.

With a strong foundation already in place, they are now seeking an experienced HR professional to lead and mature their people function during an exciting phase of growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a seasoned HR professional with a deep understanding of the aged care sector. You will oversee a small, diverse HR team spanning local and offshore members, review current practices, and implement improvements aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction. The role involves providing leadership, structure and capability to strengthen recruitment, uplift HR operations, and embed best-practice frameworks that support ongoing business growth.

This is a two-year contract, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact and shape a well-functioning, future-ready HR function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and support a small HR team, providing guidance, coaching and clear direction
  • Conduct a gap analysis and develop a practical HR roadmap aligned with strategic priorities
  • Implement best-practice HR frameworks and templates tailored to the aged care sector
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including workforce planning, recruitment and employee relations
  • Train, mentor and upskill the existing HR team to build internal capability
  • Partner with business leaders and sector stakeholders to strengthen workforce delivery and service outcomes
  • Maintain strong governance and ensure compliance with industry standards and legislation
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
  • Demonstrated experience in aged care or healthcare HR leadership roles
  • Proven ability to build, organise and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of aged care workforce compliance, accreditation and sector dynamics
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver hands-on, practical outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to drive improvement in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment
