ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, with a dotted line to the CIO, the Insights Analyst will lead the organisation’s data and insights capability transforming raw data into meaningful commercial insights that drive strategy and performance. You’ll partner across departments to define and track key business metrics, build reporting frameworks, and deliver analysis that shapes marketing, product, and operational decisions.
You’ll bring solid hands-on experience in Power BI and SQL, with the ability to turn complex data into simple, actionable insights. This role suits a technically capable and commercially minded analyst who enjoys combining deep analytical work with stakeholder engagement and wants to play a central role in a growing, data-driven business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to deliver clear, actionable insights
- Analyse weekly sales, promotions, and product performance to identify growth opportunities
- Evaluate ROI and effectiveness of marketing and commercial initiatives
- Translate complex data into simple, engaging stories that influence business decisions
- Partner with internal teams and external data vendors to enhance data accuracy and integration
- Support data validation and mapping following a recent POS system rollout
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a new Azure/Fabric data warehouse (moving toward Snowflake)
- 5+ years’ experience in Insights, BI, or analytics roles
- Background in retail, FMCG, or multi-site environments highly regarded
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel
- Proven ability to communicate insights and influence stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect data to business outcomes
- Self-starter comfortable in a developing data environment
- Degrees and relevant certificates.
