ABOUT THE ROLE
As the IT Administrator & Support Specialist, you’ll take full ownership of IT support, systems maintenance, and project planning across all areas of the business, including office, warehouse and production environments.
This is an initial 3-month contract with a view to extension or permanency based on performance and business needs. It’s a hands on role that offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping shape the long term direction of IT in the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILTITIES
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests across hardware, software, and user accounts;
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, servers, and network infrastructure;
- Manage user accounts, access controls, backups, and system security
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues and outages;
- Research, plan, and implement IT solutions to support evolving business needs;
- Handle IT purchasing within budget, and manage supplier relationships;
- Maintain up-to-date records of assets, licences, policies, and procedures;
- Ensure compliance with ISO documentation requirements and IT standards;
- Support disaster recovery planning and backup systems;
- Provide training to staff on new technologies as needed.
- A qualification in IT or a related field (preferred);
- 5+ years’ experience in a combined helpdesk and systems admin role or IT Support role;
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks;
- Confidence with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and security tools;
- Excellent planning, time management, and communication skills;
- A proactive, flexible, and team-focused mindset;
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and think analytically.
