Our client is a privately owned project-based business with international operations. With significant growth over recent years, they are investing heavily in systems, reporting and operational improvement initiatives to support the next stage of the business.
As part of this investment, they are implementing a new ERP platform and are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to play a key role in the rollout. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, systems and process improvement and wants exposure to a large-scale ERP implementation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your initial focus will be supporting the implementation of a new ERP, working closely with finance, operations and external software providers throughout the migration and testing process.
You will assist with data migration, validation, reporting, documentation and user acceptance testing while gaining valuable exposure to business systems and project delivery. Once the system is live, the role will evolve into a broader analytical position focused on reporting, project analysis, inventory visibility and business performance insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the implementation of a new ERP across the business
- Assist with data migration, cleansing, validation and reconciliation activities
- Execute and monitor User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Document business processes, workflows and system procedures
- Prepare and maintain reports using Excel and other reporting tools
- Extract, cleanse and analyse data from multiple sources
- Assist users with reporting queries and system support following go-live
- Identify data inconsistencies and support process improvements
- Contribute to project reporting, inventory analysis and operational insights
- Work closely with stakeholders across finance, operations and project teams
- 1–3 years' experience in a Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis
- Exposure to SQL and data extraction tools
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders
- Genuine interest in systems, process improvement and technology
- Finance, accounting, business or analytics qualifications highly regarded
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment and take ownership of tasks
