ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE
Our client is a well-established retail and franchise network with over 80 franchisees and a growing company store division. Reporting to the GM Finance, the Management Accountant will focus on providing hands-on financial and operational support to franchisees. The role includes management reporting, cash flow management, and analysis of store performance, while also supporting compliance and financial governance. This position suits an accountant who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and building strong relationships across a broad network.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support franchisees with financial performance reporting and operational advice.
- Liaise with offshore teams to ensure accurate bookkeeping, AP, AR, and payroll processing.
- Prepare management accounts, monthly P&L, and balance sheet reporting for the franchise network.
- Monitor cash flow, manage debtors and creditors, and prepare weekly and monthly forecasts.
- Provide variance analysis, assist with budgeting and reforecasting.
- Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, and corporate reporting requirements.
- Support insurance renewals, policy compliance, and risk management.
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with CPA or CA preferred or in progress.
- Previous experience in management accounting, preferably in a multi-site or franchise environment.
- Sound knowledge of financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance processes.
- Confident communicator with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience with MYOB Advanced and Xero accounting systems.
- Team-oriented and proactive, with strong attention to detail and initiative.
