ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Manager-level opportunity where you will take ownership of a significant client portfolio while leading a capable and collaborative team. Working closely with a hands-on Director, the role offers a blend of compliance and advisory exposure, with genuine scope to progress into future leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a client portfolio initially valued at approximately $800k to $1.0m, with scope for growth over time
  • Oversee delivery of compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, and associated obligations
  • Support Directors in identifying advisory opportunities and delivering value-add services
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team across onshore and offshore resources
  • Manage workflow, budgets, and deadlines to ensure efficient and high-quality output
  • Build strong client relationships and confidently lead client meetings
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day matters independently
  • Collaborate with other Managers and teams across the broader firm
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and team performance
  • Engage effectively with offshore teams to maintain quality and efficiency
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • CA or CPA qualified 
  • Strong technical capability across business services and tax
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio within public practice
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing and mentoring staff
  • Highly organised with strong time management and ability to manage upwards
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence in client-facing situations
  • Commercial mindset with an interest in advisory and value-add work
  • Experience with cloud-based systems such as Xero, XPM, and document management platforms
