ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll provide specialist care to premature and critically unwell newborns, working closely with a multidisciplinary team and supporting families throughout their babies’ treatment.
The department cares for nearly 2,000 admissions each year across 36 beds, including 18 NICU and high-dependency beds and 18 special care nursery suites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based, family-centred neonatal care.
- Undertaking clinical assessments, recognising deterioration and supporting critical interventions.
- Developing and implementing individualised care plans.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary teamwork and continuous quality improvement.
- $86,819.20–$102,585.60 per year, plus allowances and superannuation, depending on experience.

- At least 12–24 months of high-acuity NICU experience.
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and a commitment to safe, compassionate care.
- A collaborative approach and a passion for supporting newborns and their families.
- A postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care is highly regarded.
