Our client is seeking a Physiotherapist to join their team in Rockhampton, Queensland, in a full-time role combining occupational health assessments with clinical physiotherapy.
Spend your mornings delivering pre-employment screening and functional assessments, then your afternoons treating patients referred by the medical centre’s GPs. It’s an opportunity to broaden your skills in occupational health while continuing to provide hands-on physiotherapy care.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working alongside medical practitioners and clinic staff, you’ll help assess fitness for work and support patients with their treatment and rehabilitation.
Morning: Occupational health assessments
- Conduct functional capacity assessments and review relevant medical and movement histories.
- Undertake pre-employment screening, including spirometry, audiometry, ECGs and drug and alcohol screening, following training and within your scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate assessment records and liaise with medical practitioners to ensure reports are complete.
- Coordinate requests for additional medical information where required.
- Work closely with the medical centre’s GPs to manage physiotherapy referrals.
- Assess and treat patients referred through WorkCover, care plans and general physiotherapy referrals.
- Develop individualised treatment plans to support recovery, mobility and function.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate with referring GPs to support coordinated care.
ABOUT YOU
- A recognised Physiotherapy qualification and current AHPRA registration.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation skills.
- Clear communication and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach and an interest in developing occupational health expertise.
