ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES
We are seeking experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and built environment projects across a major Victorian university. These roles offer the chance to contribute to meaningful initiatives that enhance learning environments, drive sustainability outcomes, and support future ways of working.
Multiple full-time contract roles are available, with projects ideal for professionals with strong construction project delivery experience, including those with a background in sustainability, infrastructure, building refurbishments, and change management.
KEY PROJECTS INCLUDE
- Built Environment Carbon Reduction
Delivery of energy-efficiency initiatives including solar installations, lighting upgrades, and backlog maintenance—delivered in live campus environments. - Integrated Water Management
Construction of stormwater management infrastructure requiring civil works oversight, service proving, and complex stakeholder engagement. - Building Refurbishments
Refitting and upgrading heavily utilised campus buildings with modern teaching and learning spaces. Coordination of AV/IT works, safety, and decanting programs critical. - Ventilation Projects (Multiple Campuses)
Mechanical systems upgrades requiring after-hours scheduling and internal building works, with significant stakeholder coordination in live environments. - Workplace Transformation Programs
Large-scale program supporting flexible working through M&E, furniture, and space upgrades. Strong emphasis on stakeholder communication and change management.
- Deliver end-to-end project management across design, procurement, delivery, and close-out stages
- Engage and manage contractors and consultants to ensure project milestones and budgets are met
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to minimise disruption in operational environments
- Ensure projects comply with relevant governance frameworks, safety protocols, and reporting requirements
- Oversee program coordination, contractor management, and risk mitigation strategies
- Demonstrated experience in construction project management across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Proven ability to deliver projects within live, operational settings (e.g. education, health, commercial)
- Experience in sustainability, infrastructure delivery, or workplace transformation is advantageous
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of safety, procurement, and governance frameworks relevant to capital works projects
