ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering holistic and person centered care to residents across the organisation’s aged care facilities. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and support a multidisciplinary team while ensuring each resident’s individual care needs are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct resident assessments and develop tailored care plans
- Provide safe, respectful and holistic nursing care
- Administer and monitor medications
- Lead and mentor ENs and personal carers during your shift
- Collaborate with doctors and allied health staff
- Advocate for residents and promote their wellbeing
- Monitor health changes and respond with clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Maintain a safe working environment and participate in health and safety initiatives
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) – essential
- AHPRA registration (or eligibility to apply)
- Aged care experience strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passionate about delivering resident focused care
- Postgraduate training in aged care or gerontology desirable
