ABOUT THE ROLE
This Senior Accountant role sits within a collaborative finance team and will play a key part in financial reporting, month end processes, budgeting support and providing insight to help guide operational and strategic decisions as the organisation continues to expand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations, including government grants, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
- Leading monthly management reporting and providing detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Overseeing accounts receivable and payable functions, including reconciliation and debt management.
- Daily bank account reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Preparing and lodging IAS, BAS, and other statutory reporting.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and supporting annual financial obligations.
- Driving process improvements and staff training, ensuring best practices in finance and accounting.
- Collaborating with remote teams and supporting a high-performing work environment.
- CA or CPA qualification with at least 5 years of experience.
- Strong background in financial reporting, process improvement, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fostering interdepartmental collaboration.
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
