About role

This role is responsible for originating and securing new commercial real estate lending opportunities while managing and growing relationships with developers, brokers, advisers and other referral partners. Working closely with the Director of Origination, the successful candidate will identify opportunities, assess potential transactions, manage a pipeline of deals and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business. It is a highly autonomous position suited to a commercially minded relationship builder who combines strong networking capability with an understanding of property finance, lending structures and risk assessment.


Key responsibilities
  • Generate new commercial property lending opportunities through referral partners and industry networks
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, brokers, advisers and borrowers
  • Assess lending opportunities and identify potential risks and commercial considerations
  • Manage and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities through Salesforce
  • Prepare deal submissions and support credit and risk assessment processes
  • Represent the business at industry events, networking functions and client meetings
  Skills and competencies
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills within commercial finance or property markets
  • Proven ability to identify, originate and convert new lending opportunities
  • Sound understanding of commercial property finance, lending structures and credit risk
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess opportunities and make informed decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and networking capabilities across referral channels
  • Highly self-motivated with strong pipeline management, negotiation and communication skills
