As they continue to scale their operations, they are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in a newly created role. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations, including government grants, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
- Leading monthly management reporting and providing detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Overseeing accounts receivable and payable functions, including reconciliation and debt management.
- Daily bank account reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Preparing and lodging IAS, BAS, and other statutory reporting.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and supporting annual financial obligations.
- Driving process improvements and staff training, ensuring best practices in finance and accounting.
- Collaborating with remote teams and supporting a high-performing work environment.
- CA qualification with at least 5 years of experience, including 2 years in a professional accounting firm in Australia.
- Strong background in financial reporting, process improvement, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fostering interdepartmental collaboration.
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
