Our client is a leading service business undergoing significant transformation due to a tangible pathway to triple the size of the business over the next three years. As they continue to scale their operations, they are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in a newly created role. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations, including government grants, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
- Leading monthly management reporting and providing detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Overseeing accounts receivable and payable functions, including reconciliation and debt management.
- Daily bank account reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Preparing and lodging IAS, BAS, and other statutory reporting.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and supporting annual financial obligations.
- Driving process improvements and staff training, ensuring best practices in finance and accounting.
- Collaborating with remote teams and supporting a high-performing work environment.
- CA qualification with at least 5 years of experience, including 2 years in a professional accounting firm in Australia.
- Strong background in financial reporting, process improvement, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fostering interdepartmental collaboration.
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
