ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior, hands-on HR Business Partner role, partnering directly with leaders to deliver commercially focused, pragmatic people solutions.
Acting as a true 2IC to the Head of People & Culture, you will play a key role in rebuilding and elevating the function, balancing both strategic influence and day-to-day operational delivery.
You’ll be deeply embedded in the business, providing coaching, managing complex employee matters, and driving initiatives across performance, engagement and capability. This role is suited to someone confident operating in a fast-moving, blue-collar and corporate environment, who can build credibility quickly, make sound decisions and influence at all levels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic and operational HR advice aligned to business objectives
- Coach and support leaders across performance management, engagement and team effectiveness
- Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances and terminations
- Drive recruitment activity and workforce planning, particularly in the early stages of the role
- Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and role design
- Contribute to the development and uplift of the People & Culture function, systems and processes
- Use people data and insights to inform decision-making and improve business outcomes
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and internal policies
- Proven experience as a Senior HR/P&C Business Partner in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation
- Demonstrated experience managing complex ER matters and workplace investigations
- Confident influencing and coaching senior stakeholders with a commercially focused mindset
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a high-volume environment
- Experience supporting performance frameworks, organisational change and capability uplift
- Resilient, pragmatic and confident in decision-making, with a collaborative approach
