ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE
Our client is a large-scale, privately owned agribusiness recognised as one of Australia’s leading producers in its field. They are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team, working closely with the CFO to provide high-level financial analysis, reporting, and strategic support. This role is central to driving insights, supporting acquisitions, and enhancing financial systems and controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver in-depth financial analysis and commentary, identifying key trends and opportunities to drive profitability
- Prepare and maintain financial models, margin analysis, cash flow forecasting, and long-term scenario planning
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and board-level reporting, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in line with growth objectives
- Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital with the CFO
- Implement and enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
- Support risk management frameworks and compliance across finance and broader business activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, management accounting, or a related role, ideally within manufacturing or agribusiness
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel capability; experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) advantageous
- Experience with ERP systems (Pronto preferred) and exposure to system implementation or automation projects
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and influence decision-making
- Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
