Our client is a national retail and supply group with a large franchise network and company-owned stores across Australia. Reporting to the General Manager Finance, this Senior Management Accountant role is responsible for oversight of monthly reporting, cash flow management, compliance, and performance analysis. This is a hands-on, detail-driven position suited to a commercially minded accountant who enjoys managing complex operations and driving improvements in financial processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the full accounting and financial reporting function.
- Manage the offshore bookkeeping and accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of AP, AR, and payroll.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and manage weekly cash flow and banking facilities, including invoice financing arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, and corporate reporting obligations.
- Manage general insurance, credit risk control, and capital expenditure approvals.
- Support the budgeting and reforecasting process, providing financial insights to the GM Finance and Directors.
- Assist with procurement, property leasing administration, and insurance renewals.
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Strong experience in management accounting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Background in retail, franchising, or multi-entity environments highly regarded.
- Proven ability to lead or coordinate offshore accounting teams.
- Skilled in MYOB Advanced and Xero with strong Excel capability.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities in a busy and changing environment.
