ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE
We have partnered with a respected organisation in the private health insurance sector to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a values-led business that supports a unique and important member base.
This position plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support executive decision-making. The role is highly likely to become a permanent full time opportunity at the completion of 6 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver timely and accurate financial and statutory reporting in accordance with regulatory standards, particularly AASB17.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and support month-end reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of Board and Executive reports, with detailed financial analysis and KPI monitoring.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
- Assist with treasury management and investment reporting.
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives across finance operations, including automation and reporting enhancements.
- CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting.
- Strong financial and management accounting experience, ideally within a regulated or member-based environment.
- Previous experience in FP&A will be highly regarded.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
