ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE

We have partnered with a respected organisation in the private health insurance sector to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a values-led business that supports a unique and important member base.

This position plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support executive decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial and statutory reporting in accordance with regulatory standards, particularly AASB17. 
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and support month-end reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board and Executive reports, with detailed financial analysis and KPI monitoring.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
  • Assist with treasury management and investment reporting.
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives across finance operations, including automation and reporting enhancements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting.
  • Strong financial and management accounting experience, ideally within a regulated or member-based environment.
  • Previous experience in FP&A will be highly regarded. 
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and driving efficiency.
