They are seeking a hands-on leader to manage site operations, drive efficiency, and maintain high environmental and quality standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for overseeing all operational activities at our client’s recycling facility, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. It involves managing budgets, leading teams, maintaining ISO accreditations, and driving continuous improvement in processes and equipment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong people management skills, a background in manufacturing or processing industries, and a focus on operational efficiency and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage daily operations of the recycling facility, ensuring production, quality, and safety targets are met.
  • Lead, develop, and support site staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee budgets, cost control, and resource allocation to meet operational and financial goals.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental obligations.
  • Drive process improvements, equipment optimisation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Proven operational management experience in manufacturing, recycling, or similar industries.
  • Sound financial and budgeting skills with a focus on cost control and resource optimisation.
  • In-depth understanding of ISO standards, regulatory compliance, and safety management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement capabilities.
