ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is reshaping their technology delivery model, partnering with an external MSP for application development, while retaining strategic control internally. As Solution Architect, Integration and Applications, you will sit on the client side and take ownership of application architecture, integration design, and vendor delivery governance.
This is a strategic, hands-on architecture role not managing developers, but rather managing the delivery pipeline, scope, and backlog, with a clear focus on MuleSoft integration and rationalisation of legacy systems. You’ll engage deeply with stakeholders, ensure the right architectural decisions are made, and drive the delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions and have strong technical Mulesoft skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect and guide delivery of integration solutions using MuleSoft
- Manage technical scope, estimates, and solution alignment with an external MSP
- Rationalise and modernise existing applications and integration patterns
- Own and prioritise the application and systems backlog in collaboration with the business
- Ensure vendor-delivered solutions meet architectural standards, performance, and security requirements
- Maintain architectural documentation, roadmaps, and governance artefacts
- Act as a trusted advisor across business and IT stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of MuleSoft and enterprise integration architecture
- Experience leading the design and delivery of complex application solutions
- Proven ability to work with MSPs or external vendors to ensure delivery success
- Strong understanding of application rationalisation, system design, and integration strategy
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and modern delivery models
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
