Our client is an Australian owned FMCG manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and end to end supply chain capability. Reporting to the CFO, this Supply Chain Finance Analyst role plays a key part in supporting commercial and operational decision making through detailed product costing, financial analysis, and close collaboration with sales, operations, and new product development teams.
The role offers genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence initiatives with material impact across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across operations, sales, and commercial teams to provide trusted financial insights
- Act as the primary finance contact for operations leaders, providing end to end business support
- Develop, implement, and maintain accurate cost accounting systems across the product range
- Analyse production, labour, material, overhead, and inventory costs, and work in progress
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying drivers and improvement opportunities
- Prepare detailed cost and margin analysis to support decision making and customer conversations
- Support feasibility and costing for new product development initiatives
- Monitor yields, production performance, and wastage levels on a regular basis
- Identify cost saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across the supply chain
- Collaborate on continuous improvement of costing processes and reporting
- Support month end and year end processes, audits, and compliance requirements
- Degree qualification in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CA preferred
- Minimum five years experience in product costing within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting
- Proven experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel capability
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements within production or operational environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to partner across functions
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical capability
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
