ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to take ownership across Systems Engineering and Verification & Validation. You'll work across the complete product, understanding how its different systems interact and translating field, customer and market feedback into practical engineering and manufacturing improvements.
You'll also lead the end-to-end V&V process as activity ramps up, from requirements and risk-based test planning through to physical testing, troubleshooting and field trials. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a purely documentation-focused V&V position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Systems Engineering across mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Translate field and market feedback into product and manufacturing improvements.
- Lead end-to-end Verification & Validation activities.
- Develop and execute test plans, protocols and technical reports.
- Conduct structured Root Cause Analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Work closely with software, embedded and broader engineering teams.
- Support field trials, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Travel to trial sites across Victoria as required.
- 5+ years' Systems Engineering and/or V&V experience.
- A Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or related degree.
- Experience with industrial equipment, electrical systems, control systems or automation equipment.
- Strong systems-level thinking and hands-on troubleshooting capability.
- Experience with requirements, risk-based testing and Root Cause Analysis.
- The ability to lead V&V activities from planning through to execution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
